About Aldeas SOS in Nicaragua

Aldeas SOS is a non government organization with emphasis on human rights for kids an adolecents, based on the United Nation convention.Aldeas SOS were born in 1949 in Austria, extending the model to over 132 countries world wide. Aldeas SOS came for the first time to Nicaragua after the 1972 earthquake, to help the victims of this natural disaster which devastated our capital, extending in over 35 years to others departments in the country, and helping over 6,500 kids from extremely poor families, orphans, or abuse children for whom we offer an alternate protective families. Our mission is to create families for children in need of love, we help them to create their own future, and also we participate in the community development. There are a wide variety of ways to help, from feeding and burping, to changing diapers, to dedicate time and help older kids with their homework, teach basic English, help to cook, do the dishes, you name it, job is always available when there are 190 kids under 14.
Volunteers with the following specific skills are preferred for this placement:
